Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR, a bit late but drinks all around! (If you don’t drink then have a glass of water and an ice cube)

Secondly, and the more serious and on point reason to this post, upcoming maintenance! (Oh noooeees!!!) We have a few things that will be happening in the next week or so which you should be made aware of.

First is a scheduled maintenance slot which will last around 6+ hours, the time and date? Well that is yet to be announced, basically as a lot of you have noticed some of our servers have suffered from connectivity issues, high Latency and prolonged loading times... We are aware of these issues and this maintenance time will be to try and resolve most of the above. During this time the servers will be OFFLINE and there MIGHT also be a Realm List change, stay tuned on this as i will post a detail post outlining any important changes.

Also another new thing for people to be aware of is weekly maintenance, soon (again not sure when this will start) each server will have maintenance twice a week, this will be to maintain a overall level of quality on each server to prevent loading times and lag. The downtime will only be around 30 minutes - 1 hour per server and servers won’t be taken off at the same time.

Again more details will be posted about these two at a later date this is purely to make you aware of them (awww, and people say we don’t care? ) Please feel free to suggest which day(s) are the best thought i can’t promise I’ll keep to them

Anyway that’s pretty much it, hope you all had a happy new year, remember any “hotfix” downtime will be posted in the SHOUTBOX.

Also a reminder, it has come to my attention there are a lot of password scams going around these days, do NOT give your password to ANYONE, ScapeGaming Staff and Representatives will NEVER ask for your login credentials.

Also, when logging in to the UCP or any webpage which requests your login details, ensure you are on the ScapeGaming.com website and you got the link from a SAFE Source, We will NEVER e-Mail you requesting you to login to any 3rd party websites.

I put from Peyton here because I don't want my views to be attached to everyone on Staff. Christmas time of the year is my favorite of all. I love decorating my house, picking out gifts for my family, and having the festive feel that isn't always with society as a hole through-out the year. That being said, I want to wish every single one of you a wonderful Christmas. It is a season of love. It is a season of selflessness and a time to give of yourself. I hope that all of you have found a way to give a piece of yourself to someone in need and do it without acknowledgment. Giving without seeking the light for it is the best way to give. Sometimes, people don't have the means to give something of monetary and that is ok. Give something of yourself. Your time is the most precious gift you can give, especially to your family. Don't spend all day playing on Scape on Christmas. Spend it with your family, and do it happily, not just because maybe your parents are making you. Believe it or not, these days will make the most memorable memories. I know from my younger years, time with my family on the holidays are the strongest and most precious memories I have.

Put bad times behind you. Bury grudges, or ill feelings that you may have. Let me tell you all something. Forgiveness is the best gift you can give anyone. At some point in the past and at some point in the future, you will need it from someone. Most of all, if you are celebrating the true Christmas, not the "feel great" and commercialized Christmas, remember what it is all about. The gift from God. It isn't about the Nintendo under the tree, or the big huge dinner you will have, but try and remember the whole time what you are supposed to be celebrating. I understand that many of you do not share these beliefs, but lucky for me, I am not forced to be "politically correct" and as I stated above, "for those of you who are celebrating the true Christmas".

Be good to each other on the servers, be good to each other here on our forums, and most of all, be good to the people in your real, non computer life.

After many hours of frustration and bitter despair the ScapeGaming forums have been restored (Huuzzaar!!!)

We want to apologize for this horrendous downtime which was unplanned, unexpected and unwanted, some areas of the website are still under maintenance while we resolve these issues however the main hub (account registration, news feed, forums, and UCP) are back online.

We understand this has been an inconvenience to users and we really do express our apologies for this.

On other news I would like to assure players that ScapeGaming has NOT been shutdown (contrast to nasty rumours)
